Wright County has a strong transportation network that includes Interstate-94, US Highway 12, and State Highways 55, 101, 25 and 24. These main thoroughfares are easily accessible through a vast network of well-built and well-maintained county roads.

Two active railway systems pass through Wright County. The Canadian Pacific Railroad parallels State Highway 55, passing through Rockford, Buffalo, Maple Lake, Annandale and South Haven. The Burlington Northern Railroad parallels US Highway 12 and passes through Delano, Montrose, Waverly, Howard Lake and Cokato.

Light air travel and transport is possible from two Wright County municipal airports located in Buffalo and Maple Lake. Both offer fuel, maintenance, flight instruction, overnight tie-down, and night-lighting. Buffalo's also has aircraft rental, space to build your own hangar and a 2,600 foot paved runway. The Minneapolis - Saint Paul International Airport is within a one hour drive from the Wright County area. Additional air transit is accessible from nearby St. Cloud Regional Airport as well as several airports in the Twin Cities metro area.
