Partnership
holds Annual Golf event at Riverwood National
Golf Course on September 5, 2007.
The
Wright County Economic Development Partnership held its
annual golf tournament at the Riverwood National Golf Course
on September 5 th . There were 101 golfers pre-registered
and there were company presentations on 11 of the 18 tee
boxes.
Summerset
Studios took photographs of the individual teams, and provided
a printed copy to everyone, who played. The Nelson Building
& Development Ball in Play contest $400 prize was won
by the Riverview Community Bank team. The fastest team contest
prize presented by Bauer Design Build was won by the Terra
General Contractor's Team. The longest drive for men was
won by Brett Weise of WSB engineers. The longest drive for
women was won by Patsy Kropuenske of Riverview Bank. Paul
Kangas of Loucks & Associates won the closest to the
pin for men, and Debbie Dykhoff of Shingobee Builders won
the closest to the pin contest for women. Brad Sawatzke
of Excel Energy won the longest putt for men, and Kendra
Lettau of HTG Architects won the longest put for women.
The team that had the lowest score (Best Game) was the Staubach
Company team. Second place went to the Shingobee team. Scott
Johnson of Xcel Energy won the Putting contest sponsored
by Schlenner & Wenner. There were many other prizes
awarded.
Music accompanied the network social hour before and during
dinner. Dinner was a hamburger and brats picnic buffet presented
by Russell's on the Lake restaurant.
This event was designed to
attract development professionals such as accountants, architects,
attorneys, bankers, contractors, developers, and realtors.
These people are interested in meeting community leaders
in Wright County , and they are interested in being part
of the development activity in Wright County . Sponsors
for the event included: Di'Orio Business Group, Franklin
Outdoor Advertising, KKE Architects, Nelson Building &
Development, Summerset Studios, Sil-Pro of Delano , Veolia
Rolling Hills Landfill, and WSB Engineering.
The Partnership exists to enhance the business climate
of Wright County and to help create more jobs in Wright
County . The strategies the Partnership uses to achieve
its mission include being an information resource and finding
technical assistance; aiding business development through
Business Retention & Expansion visits, providing financing
resources, and providing business information and training
through seminars and workshops. Also, the Partnership markets
Wright County to business site locators, and maintains an
excellent website, which includes a listing of commercial
and industrial property available in Wright County (see
www.wrightpartnership.org ). The Partnership
also assists with Workforce Development and has gathered
economic statistical information, which is available on
its website.
