seminar on Information databases for Commercial & Industrial
properties held at Riverwood Inn on July 19, 2006
The
Wright County Economic Development Partnership held a Development
Series Luncheon Seminar at Riverwood Conference Center on
July 19th. The event started at 11:30 a.m. with a luncheon
that was served to the 25 people, who attended.
Presentations started at noon and the presenter was
Pete Mattson of the CoStar Group. Mattson gave a detailed
presentation about the concept of database surveillance
and listing that the CoStar Group uses. The CoStar Group
has twice as much information as the next largest supplier
of commercial and industrial property in the Minnesota Metro
13 county area. Their service uses an objective viewpoint
to listing available property and thus avoids seller bias.
CoStar also lists many current retail users and allows users
to plot competition within a radius using sophisticated
search engines.
