All of this
attention towards manufacturing is because manufacturing
plays such an important part of the economic well being
of the local economy. Moreover, manufacturers are facing
very challenging times with a combination of factors working
against them. One of the factors is the tough international
competition. Another factor is the difficulty in finding
competent workers. There are some negative stereotypes that
the industry is working to overcome. Under present day working
conditions, many manufacturing employees enjoy excellent
health and financial benefits providing by their employers.
Working in manufacturing can be very rewarding in career
development also. It is hoped that more young people can
be exposed to the opportunities in manufacturing.
