Manufacturer Moving to Montrose

The Montrose Economic Development Authority (EDA) is pleased to welcome Craft Pattern & Mold to its Lemmerman Industrial Park 2 nd Addition on the east side of the community. The prototype plastic and metal parts and production tooling company purchased an existing 33,600 square foot building on a 6.4 acre lot on January 27, 2011.

Craft Pattern & Mold, Inc. produces prototype parts including metal castings, precision plastic parts, production tooling and CNC machining for a variety of industries including aerospace, automotive and recreational vehicles; agricultural, turf maintenance and construction equipment; foundry, injection mold and vacuum, compression molding and fiberglass. They have been in the industry for 25 years.

Tony Cremers, President/CEO indicated the company will be retrofitting the facility, which was formerly occupied by Stock Lumber Supply Company and vacated in 2009, over the next couple of months. They plan relocate from their current facility in Maple Plain and move into the Montrose facility in the summer of 2011.

Economic Development Consultant Joanne Foust, MDG, Inc. noted, “The City and its EDA are very pleased Craft Pattern & Mold selected Montrose as the home for its growing business. The company will bring 24 jobs to the community, which will continue to stimulate the local economy.”

The City of Montrose and its EDA celebrated a ground breaking in December, 2010 on a new Montrose Business Park and new Xcel Energy facility which is currently under construction on the west side of the community. The Xcel Energy project will result in 10 jobs in Montrose this year.
