Moving to Montrose
The Montrose Economic Development
Authority (EDA) is pleased to welcome Craft Pattern &
Mold to its Lemmerman Industrial Park 2 nd Addition on
the east side of the community. The prototype plastic
and metal parts and production tooling company purchased
an existing 33,600 square foot building on a 6.4 acre
lot on January 27, 2011.
Craft Pattern &
Mold, Inc. produces prototype parts including metal castings,
precision plastic parts, production tooling and CNC machining
for a variety of industries including aerospace, automotive
and recreational vehicles; agricultural, turf maintenance
and construction equipment; foundry, injection mold and
vacuum, compression molding and fiberglass. They have
been in the industry for 25 years.
Tony Cremers, President/CEO
indicated the company will be retrofitting the facility,
which was formerly occupied by Stock Lumber Supply Company
and vacated in 2009, over the next couple of months. They
plan relocate from their current facility in Maple Plain
and move into the Montrose facility in the summer of 2011.
Economic Development
Consultant Joanne Foust, MDG, Inc. noted, “The City and
its EDA are very pleased Craft Pattern & Mold selected
Montrose as the home for its growing business. The company
will bring 24 jobs to the community, which will continue
to stimulate the local economy.”
The City of Montrose
and its EDA celebrated a ground breaking in December,
2010 on a new Montrose Business Park and new Xcel Energy
facility which is currently under construction on the
west side of the community. The Xcel Energy project will
result in 10 jobs in Montrose this year.
