presented at the regular Delano Chamber of Commerce meeting
on October 16, 2008 by Chamber president, Josh Hecksel.

CalBrandt,

are a major manufacturer of rail car movers and railcar
gate openers.
A
subsidiary company is called Brandt Automation and they
specialize in building and designing production line equipment,
which is custom built equipment for any manufacturing process
including automated assembly. Jim Stein, who has been with
Calbrandt, Inc. for 22 years is the operations manager and
President of Brandt Automating. Some of their customers
include Fabcon Concrete, and McNeilius of Dodge Center,
who manufacturers garbage trucks. Calvin Brandt designed
all of the controls for the automated garbage containers
pickers that are used on most residential garbage picker
