Design Build wins coveted award at Partnership Annual
Meeting
Rockford , MN ---
Bauer Design Build of Delano was recognized as the Outstanding
Member of the Year by the Wright County Economic Development
Partnership at its annual meeting at the Delano Community
Center on January 21 st . Bauer Design Build has been
very active in the Wright County Economic Development
Partnership in a variety of ways for about three years
and the awards committee felt that this company is an
outstanding example of someone, who deserves to be recognized
for all that he has done.
Both owner, Mike
Bauer, and Bauer Design Build's business development agent,
Todd Meyhoff, have demonstrated leadership, innovation
and initiative on the job by helping to make connections
with new and expanding businesses in the Wright County
area. Bauer joined the Partnership about five years ago
with the idea that he was willing to help with the Marketing
Committee. Since then he has actively solicited new members
and contributors for both the Directory and the golf event.
Both Mike Bauer and Todd Meyhoff have been active members
of the marketing and membership committee.
The Bauer Design
Build team has created many opportunities for synergistic
relationships. Through their efforts, they have been indirectly
responsible for thousands of dollars of support for the
Partnership. They frequently attend Partnership events
such as meetings, conferences, and other functions. They
also frequently attend and participate in many other events
in the Wright County community including the local Chamber
of Commerce events in several of the communities and the
Central Minnesota Manufacturing Association (CMMA).
Overall, the have aided the improvement of the quality of
life within Wright County in recent years by supervising
the construction of several building projects in Wright
County through their general contracting business. These
projects include the new City of Maple Lake Liquor store,
the Lake Region Co-op expansion in Maple Lake , the Montrose
early education center, and the 30,000 square foot addition
at Landscape Structures in Delano . This will have the indirect
influence of helping to retain jobs in Wright County.
The Partnership
exists to enhance the business climate of Wright County
and to help create more jobs in Wright County . The strategies
the Partnership uses to achieve its mission include being
an information resource and finding technical assistance;
aiding business development through Business Retention
& Expansion visits, providing financing resources,
and providing business information and training through
seminars and workshops. Also, the Partnership markets
Wright County to business site locators, and maintains
an excellent website, which includes a listing of commercial
and industrial property available in Wright County (see
www.wrightpartnership.org
). The Partnership also assists with Workforce Development
and has gathered economic statistical information, which
is available on its website.
